Cooperation between townships and local government offices

Cooperation program between township and LGs offices (WP 6): establishing tri-partite dialogue on local level between newly (in 2013) established township offices, local government offices and their employees. On national level they are represented by the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice (KIM), local government association (TÖOSZ and its Partners) and MKKSZ trade union of the public servants and municipal employees. The best indicator of a successful public administration reform is if citizens are provided with higher level of public services. In order to achieve this, all stakeholders need to have all the relevant information on time. Considering this the Partners of the project decided to have at the beginning of this project 19 common workshop in every county in Hungary for local governments and civil servants to collect information on problems, challenges, needs and possible solutions. We will organize a national conference to summarize the experiences of the workshops and disseminate the relevant information to local governments. In the meantime the working group of this component will elaborate a 2day training program for township offices and local government offices about the framework of cooperation and sharing responsibilities and tasks on the long term. We will recruit trainers (40) from the Partners and experts from Hungary, select then train them. We will provide at least 100 trainings in township centres. For maintaining the cooperation structure between the three parties (township offices, local government offices and their employees) we will develop and disseminate a guideline.
